Taking advantage of discount coupons and specials you can still eat out. We always order icewater with our meals, everyone needs to drink more water and it is a real money saver. And for deserts, we have those at home for a fraction of the price. We double our savings on snacks by using coupons and watching for the items on sale.

I am an avid coupon clipper to help with grocery bills. I often go to yard sales, it's amazing what you can find for very little money ( clothes- kitchen wares - I often find brand new items (tags still on them) even great gift items. I purchase all my cleaning & paper goods from the Dollar Store. I look for sales, seldom ever pay full price for anything. I no longer use charge cards. If I can't pay cash, we do without until we can.

I'd rather cut back on things for myself so my kids can still feel special with little treats.

I have found myself clipping more & more coupons on products we use and that helps save. My kids are really good about helping out around the house so I still like to surprise them with special treats every so often.

For me make up is such a habit, that I don't go with out it. I don't have any little kids at home or snacks would be my choice. We don't go out to eat all that much and go to the movies once in a while. We're a very thifty family, never thought we had to spend a lot of money on anything.

We reevaluated what's important to us (as a family) and eliminated those that weren't on the top list of wants. We save up, plan ahead, look for deals, and treat ourselves to what we used to take advantage of. We find added joy and pleasure in the smaller things. =)

To my husband and teenage daughter it's a must that our snack cabinet is full. It's equally important for my daughter to purchase makeup products - due to the economy I only allow products to be purchased that I have coupons for.

i will cut back by trying to purchase items on sale, marked down and promotions. Certain items we just can not live without!
