Since spending power is getting less and less. I looked at freecycle.org to see if there was groups near me. Freecycle is a free exchange. If you have something to give away - you post it. If you need something you post your need. I got lots of computer pieces which I gave to my neighbor. He fixes up computers and gives them to senior citizens. I also shop at walgreens with coupons (theirs and manufactors at the same time) and I also rebate with walgreens - now especially that they have ONLINE rebating! I always buy the weekend paper with coupons and I have several people giving me their coupons.

it's worth the time to go on line and get coupons before shopping. From Bath and Body to Victoria's Secret and Sears, I usually get half my items at least half off. Match coupons with sales.

I'm a single mother, working and going to school. Life is crazy and I spend a lot of time in the car. The best thing I have been able to do is start bringing a lunch and snacks. I bought an oversized lunch bag and fill it the night before then stick it in the fridge. I save a lot. I even hide some frozen reeses cups in the bottom for when I need something sweet.

I am on disability and have a very limited income. I spend little now on "nonessentials" but I am going to have to spend even less on them to the point of if it isn't essential, I don't buy it.
