I've stopped shopping at Bloomingdales, Macys and Nordstrom to cut back on useless spending on things that I want and not what I need!

I agree that we are spending less in ALL areas, all stores, and basically on everything. Husband is unemployed & unemployment is the highest it's been in our state in 18 yrs

We try to buy as much as possible at Costco, then we also go to Dollar Tree for bread and some other limited food products. Gotta save all we can right now!

Buy food from Angel Food Ministries! It is a great deal. They have a website to check out the monthly menu. $30 for a "boat-load" of food!

It?s hard to change your spending habits, but we have been cutting back on entertainment. I plan household meals around what is on sale and use coupons.

I will bulk shop at an Aldi's for non perishables and then, go to a dollar store and see what I can get for cleaners and non-essentials. Then, hit a grocery store food chain like Hy-Vee for all their brand products. Since Walmart has discontinued most of their brand name Great Value in my area.

Hey! WE are all in the same boat, I guess. I am not spending money on anything except essentials and that has been cut in half after bills from what it used to be. I scrapbook now more than ever because it's the one thing that's cheaper than gas and shopping. I kill two birds with one stone--I am staying home and saving gas and avoiding spending money on things I may not need AND I am preserving all of my stored up family photos!!! It's about time I got them all out of boxes where we can actually enjoy them!

It has to be cut somewhere and we are not going to go without gas and food so it has to be the unnecessary items that go.
