Do you consider yourself a tightwad or spendthrift?

We recently read that there are more miserly people out there than spenders.  So, we were curious how this might look for women?  Are we women spenders, as we have the reputation to be or are we careful and cautious with our money?

    I try to be really frugal but I end up shopping alotand spending money I dont intend on spending,I do buy thing on sale. Sometimes I just find to many great sales.

    We're in the middle. I love to buy nice things for myself, and family, but only if its on sale and I have a coupon!

    I love to shop and go out to eat and since I am single with no children I find I may spend more than I should at times.

    I am working on being frugal. My good friend is and I am always amazed by how she sticks to her budget and does not budge on splurging.

    littlemac says: I'm in the middle. Ihave raised and educated 5 kids and now it's my turn, I buy things but I stay inside my budget and never have credit card debt, tho I charge everyting I buy. I then use the rewards to get some of the things I want. I love to shop and always look for the "sale" signs.

    i tend to spend extra on food and papergoods, but if i can find a bargain with clothes or shoes i say why not i have kids 3 of them i shop the thrift stores to help stretch our budget, but if there is a sale on something and i need it i go for it i'm kinda in the middle

    If you don't have any money to spend, you can't spend it! I like to save any extra for those times I know there won't be enough!

    I prfer to keep my money than spend on things I don't need.

    I love to shop! But I usually always get amazing deals so it balances out in the end :o)

    I love to shop but at the moment I have to be much more careful and stay within my budget , so I am looking a little harder for great bargains! I still enjoy shopping! :o)

    I agree. I love to shop, but with the price of gas I need to be more careful nowdays. I try to make better choices and do more comparing of products.
