Putting yourself in Silda Wall Spitzer?s position, would you stand by your man as she did when the news of his philandering broke?

Silda Wall Spitzer is just the latest politician's wife who's had to endure the embarrassment of her family's personal affairs being broadcast to the world- Remember Dina McGreevey?! So, we were curious, if you were in the same situation, would you, as Tammy Wynette sang, "stand by your man"?

Or would you tell him that he was "on his own"? We want to know what you think!

Yes (9.5%)

No (61.3%)

I'm not sure (29.3%)

i think that the out come of her marraige will be up to her silda spizter if she wants to stay for what ever reason or get divorced. its easy to say what we might do but we are not in her position. and we dont always do what we say to other people to do!

It's always the hardest on the woman (or who's been cheated on), especially since she's in the public eye. With everyone watching she has to hold it to gether. But having been there I know it's tearing her up. Not just that he did it but with a prostitue and in the public eye. What was he thinking or with what? My heart goes out to her and her kids.

It's a difficult decision for any woman to make. She probably did it for the sake of the kids. He has daughters, hje should know better, he wouldn't want any of his daughters to be treated that way!

I would certainly start divorce proceedings but I'm sure she is still "in shock" and very embarrassed. Most importantly, she has to consider their daughters. How do you help your children even begin to cope with such a situation? And, of course, everything is made worse by their father's political position and the usual "feeding frenzy" by the media.

I dont think i could stand by my man for that! Especially when he would offer to pay more to NOT wear a rubber. I have been with my man for 8 yrs, and we have a child together, so if he did that, he would be inconsiderate of my feelings and emotions, as well as our daughters. He put his wifes life at risk by having sex with someone else, let alone a prostitute who has been with God only knows who. When 2 people join together in marriage, they vow to be with only each other. Reguardless of what type, or how open their relationship is, it was wrong. He would probably kick her to the curb if the shoe was on the other foot. I would say she is stupid for standing by him, but then again, she may have other motives, such as money in mind.I would be very embarassed, and would never stand up in front of a camera broadcasting across the nation and support him. She looked like a fool.

I would take time to clear my head and review my choices and not rush into anything to quickly as to make rash decisons.

What was he thinking? Don't vows and family mean anything? If this happened to me, I would not even stand by his side. I would be out before he could blink.

Just think of the STDs and viruses he could have given his wife! I know I would be furious!
