If you were given the power to make changes that would improve your shopping experience, what type of retail store would you most want to impact?

How many times have you gone into a store and thought, "Why is it like this? It could be so much better!" From the long lines at the wholesale clubs (because only half of the lanes are open!) to rude and inattentive sales people to messy racks at some stores where you can't find your size in the place its meant to be!  Some of our shopping experiences seem ripe for improvement!

If you were given the chance to make a shopping experience better, which type of store would it be and why?

Grocery Store (36.2%)

Department Store (7.6%)

Mass Merchandiser (Wal*Mart, Kmart, Target) (39.1%)

Club Store (Costco, Sam?s, etc.) (4.9%)

Discount Store (TJ Maxx, Filene?s, etc.) (6.5%)

Drug Store (1.6%)

Big Box Retailer (Home Depot, Staples, Toys R Us, etc.) (3.8%)

If you were given the power to make changes that would improve your shopping experience, what type of retail store would you most want to impact?

It never fails when I go to the pharmacy the line is long and my medicine is never ready. I call in my refills several days before I pick them up but they are still never ready.I've changed pharmacy's and still have the same problem.

When I am shopping for quality items at a department store, paying quality prices, I certainly would appreciate more room to move about through the store. Actually, the same is true for the discount stores such as Walmart, Kohls and Target... the isles are very cramped. Additionally, where have the days of customer service gone?! What a pain to have to redress onesself to run out of the dressing room for a different size??? Kudos to the Coldwater Creek people for getting it right!

Mass Merchandisers need help, especially WM-- That place is awful and getting worse by the day, no one cares about the consumer anymore. GREED is a terrible thing.

If I could change something in a store it would be keeping the aisles clear. I'm a wheelchair user and restaurants like Chili's, Applebees, and Texas Road House need more space between tables, aisles and for wheelchairs.

One thing I dislike about Wal-Mart is that on most days, especially at night, there's not enough cashiers or the self-checkout areas are closed because of malfunctions.

I know plenty of people who have applied time and time again for a job there. I know they may not want to hire everyone, but they need to hire SOMEONE. I am tired of standing in long lines when I only have a few items!

I know it is a marketing ploy, but there are times I want milk, bread or pick up a prescription and they have placed them all in the back of the stores so you can pick up other items on the way in or out! How nice! Should be a place near the front of store for quick shop items, like bread and milk etc. Could lose shoppers to quick marts for quick items.

The same grocery stores are all set up differently even though they are only sometimes five minuets apart. I'd like all the chains to be set up the same so no matter what part of town you are in you can just run in and out.

I think grocery stores should have more options for people with allergies like gluten.

I love Walmart but I wish there was a mass store soley for the handicapped to buy the same products offered to us but specially arranged so the handicapped can access products easier....and thus not running over people not in need of 3 wheelers.

I love discount stores, Walmart, Target, etc. When shoping my husband and I generally take our two seater stroller into the stores. I would love it if all stores had to go to the two seater carts like Sam's!!!
