We work remotely whenever possible, carpool and combine errands to reduce our carbon footprint.
We encourage native plants to grow (part of our property is in the woods), keeping old logs as habitats for native insects and small animals, feeding the birds and deer, trying to maintain the ecosystem :)
I share plants (both houseplants and garden starts) at work, and if we are blessed with good harvest, we share the bounty with family and friends.
We shop farmers' markets to support local farmers.
We prevent useable items from going to landfill by donating them to Goodwill or directly to the people we know who can use them.
Oh, and although we have Amazon Prime, we always opt for slower shipping that allows amazon combine several orders in one shipment.
I try my best to be a good steward and reuse items or recyle them. Also Earth Day is my birthday!!!
My twin boys turn 15 on Earth Day!! #EARTHDAYBIRTHDAY We are going to have a QUARANTEEN birthday at home. They are so excited for this (insert eye-roll x2!!).
