The best thing a teacher taught me was to be passionate about what I like. She taught me to be generous too. My favorite teacher was my 4th or 5th grade teacher Mrs.Long (sorry I can't remember which grade). She use use to read us the Harry Potter series outloud and gave me the gift of reading. Ever since then, I've loved reading. It's my escape.
Was taught that no matter how much I learn there is always more information and knowledge to be discovered. We will never know it all.
My math teacher said in 5th grade that we needed to learn to count so that no one could steal your money...haha
My best teacher was Mrs. J from second grade. She's the one who gave me the confidence in myself that laid a foundation for what I learned from all the other good teachers later.
Not to give up & always try something new
curiosity and a lifelong love of learning!
Don't be afraid to speak up
Teachers have taught me to think, especially when things are complex like chemistry class. Even the not so great teachers have taught me things...like when A students got ignored in class to bring up the D students, taught me to ask why and what was happening outside the classroom to cause the A students to not get the same attention even thought each student paid the same dollar amount to be in the course... it encouraged participating in student government and engaging in community.
My high school English teacher (who I also had a major crush on!) taught me to enjoy my writing and to believe in myself, even though I was an awkward, gangly teenager! Thank you Mr. M.!
My science teacher taught me how important hygene is because he had none and I realized how it can affect how people think about you.
