What early steps, if any, do you take to prep for Thanksgiving?

With Holidays ruling the end of the year, how do you manage to keep sane?

I decorate my house for Thanksgiving (47.6%)

I buy the turkey before the prices triple (39.1%)

I start prepping the old secret family recipe(s) (30.0%)

I don't take early steps... I wait until the last minute (27.1%)

What early steps, if any, do you take to prep for Thanksgiving?

    I love the holidays, but don't decorate for Turkey day, but on Black Friday after shopping up goes all the Christmas decorations!! I love all the lights and my Snowman collection.

    Thanksgiving is a holiday that the commercial world tries to roll over. Thankfully it is one of the nicest holidays. A holiday that families will never forget. Good food, family and friends...and no gifts and no hoop-la involved. Happy Thanksgiving everyone.

    I love the holidays. It is when my kids come over and eat and we are all a family again...Love the holidays and the decorateing so much fun..

    My husband is a chef so he is always working. So my daughter and I will decorate. Makes us feel good. On Thanksgiving we relax and take it easy.

    Family is preparing and providing the food this year while I get my home ready and cleaned since my home is the site we are having Thanksgiving.

    I always decorate. It's easy for me because when I decorate for Halloween, I put out all of my fall decorations. Yesterday, I took down and packed up the Halloween stuff and my Fall/Thanksgiving decoration remain. Now I start to pick up food deals for Thanksgiving.

    As much as I love Thanksgiving, I'm usually very bad about prepping in advance. However, this year I've made it my personal goal to stay on track and get my list of ingredients together a few weeks before the big day. I've already bought several cans of pumpkins.
