We all know that breakfast is the most important meal of the day, but that still doesn’t mean that we do more than guzzle a cup of joe on the way to work or school with the kids. If you do make it a point to have your morning nourishment, what’s most important to you when choosing what to eat?

Our mornings are pretty rushed, and 4 of my 5 children or ADHD so we definately look for foods with the lowest sugar content and least amount of prep time.

Fast and healthy. That's what I always look for.

It's a pretty much equal mix of prep ease and time, nutrional content, PLUS coffee for me! I like old fashioned oats, nuked for a couple of minutes with a little water, sea-salt, and raisins (or diced apples, peaches, strawberries - fruit in season), to make a thick, chewy mix where I can feel the whole oats (no mush, please!). A little shot of milk over the top, and I've got a good brekkie that's also good for my heart. Then a great big mug of iced Sumatra coffee, and I'm off to start my day! I can eat breakfast for a week at home for what I would spend for one morning's meal at Mickey-D's.

Of course anything healthy is on my list but prepartion time is also important. quick and easy breakfast when I'm in a hurry works best for me.

I like to start the morning off with a healthy breakfast that is filling! My 3 yr old likes those Quaker breakfast cookies. I'm not sure how great they are but better than a doughnut.

I always try to start my day out in a good way, so eating a healthy breakfast is important. I am also usually in a bit of a hurry so I need to stay with the essentials such as fruit, yoguart, bran or something similar that is quick and not a lot of clean up after.

I look for fiber content and low sugar and salt. I focus more on the things I want to avoid (sugar, salt, hfcs, white flour). I think it's weird that cereals have all this vitamin fortification...why was cereal designated to have the RDA of every vitamin as if you're taking a pill. It annoys me and it allows cereals to advertise health benefits that you'd get from just taking a pill.

I usually eat a Luna bar for breakfast since it's easily digestible and I usually workout an hour or two after eating one, which gives me energy but doesn't weigh me down before the workout.
