With Amazon’s announcement this week that sales of digital books were greater than sales of hardbacks, it’s clear that e-readers are here to stay. What do you think about this shift in the reading experience? Are you or do you see yourself becoming a convert?
I love them and I have an e-book reader (12.2%)
I prefer the physical experience of a book or magazine (34.9%)
I'm not planning to get an e-reader but I think it is a neat device and can be very convenient (52.9%)
I know people who absolutely love their Kindles, so these e-books are great for some. Yet, for me, I regularly flip back through a book I'm reading to refresh my memory on a particular character for example. It isn't convenient on an computer device. So, I probably won't get an e-reader until that is the only option.
I prefer the hands on "real" books!
I love the fact that its out there for people who use and need it, but I prefer the real deal.
I finally broke down and purchased a Kindle. I LOVE IT! I do however still read "real" books as well. I love going to the library and I continue to do so, but the ease of having any book you want whenever you want and not having to wait to get to the book store or the library is PRICELESS!!
I have a Kindle and it's the coolest thing since sliced bread!!!!! I keep it in my purse and pull it out several times a day. I don't like to waste one minute.
I havn't had the pleasure of using an e-reader. I could say that I would rather stick to actual books because staring at a screen for a long time really irritate my eyes.
I love my kindle! It's convenient, light, tons of books to choose from and easy to use
No need to ruin a ereader on the beach, you can purchase a waterproof case for them on amazon or ebay. I love my kindle.
I would LOVE an eReader, but DH won't consider it since he doesn't want to spend the money on one. I know I'd use it constantly since I read from my laptop all of the time!
Nothing beats going outside with a good book and enjoying the breeze while swinging gently in a hammock. I just don't think it would be the same with an electronic version of a book.
