The winter is still months away, but it’s never too early to start thinking about how to best treat your skin when the cold rolls around. What ingredients do you look for when purchasing a lotion or moisturizor for dry skin?
Aloe (31.1%)
Vitamin E (28.0%)
Cocoa butter (32.4%)
Alpha hydroxy (2.7%)
Cream Oil (5.8%)
I love cocoa butter my whole family has dry skin to it's our favorite.
I love cocoa butter makes your skin feel great
i love cocoa buter it makes my skin not feel dry and love the smell.
I don't so much look for ingredients. Rather I look at what's not in them. All the aloe & shea butter in the world is going to do you little good if there is mineral oil in the mix. Don't believe me? Try this science experiment. Buy some mineral oil at your local drug store. Then pour some into a clear glass. Submerge a cracker (like a Saltine) in the mineral oil. Come back in a couple hours, then a day, then a couple days. That cracker will never absorb the oil. Mineral oil actually creates a barrier between the outside world and your skin. So while your skin "feels soft" and "looks hydrated" its just appearances. You are actually denying your skin moisture. That's what I look for in a lotion; no mineral oil.
cocoa butter jas always worked the best for me! the smell is a bonus!
I love love love aloe. It has all natural benefits without the skin clogging problems that come with cocoa butter. Plus, really BUTTER?? on your skin. It just sounds gross.
Vitamin E doesn't just feel wonderful, about 30 years ago they found it scientically proven to rejuvenate the skin. It also helps prevent/reduce scars so I can only imagine what it does for simply dry skin.
I tend to look for all natural and no chemical ingredients. I would prefer a mix of aloe, cocoa butter, and vitamin E if I could find it :)
cocoa butter is by far the best moisturizer and it smells wonderful!
I love the pure cocoa butter and smells good.
