March 10 is National Women and Girls HIV/AIDS awareness Day.  It is a day to recognize the special risks HIV/AIDS poses for women and girls, and to raise awareness of the disease's increasing impact on them.  If you are a parent, have you spoken to your children about HIV?  Please share your stories.  We want to know.

    Wow! that is scary and sad. I think it is very important that we talk kids about this. and I think there should be some kind of class to educate parents on how they can talk with their kids about such things and the best way to, or a class to educate the kids (since this is an uncomfortable conversation to have with our kids. Though we need to remember ignoring the problem does not make it go away!! In fact it makes the problem worse!!), or an even better idea would be to have a class to educate both parents and their children.

    What an eye opening statistic. As a mother of a teenager this is definitely something i will be addressing with him.

    That statistic is HORRIBLE!! It breaks my heart that there are people so self-centered to not share with their partners of this disease!! If you are adult enough to partake in adult activities...be adult enough to share with your partner of the risk they are taking!! So sad!!
