I don't think he owed his fans an apology. His wife and children were the ones who suffered from his poor choices. He needs to decide what is most important to him and how he is going to make it up to his family. The conference was totally unnecessary--unless he's trying to salvage his career. Even then, it wasn't his best moment.

I watched...not that I care about him at all. I felt his speech was well orchestrated to try to save his billion dollar career and that's the only reason he did it. No matter what he does from here on out, he is no longer a good role model for golf or anything else.

That situation should be between Tiger Woods and his wife. The media and no one else should be involved but the attorneys. Marital problems are personal, and they should not be publicized, regardless of who you are.

I did not watch, but heard some of his speech later on. He will probably start playing golf again because it generates high ratings and revenue, and he will want to maintain his career. I feel that this is ultimately between him and his wife, and should be kept out of the media. Personally, I feel he is now a bad role model to our youth and his choices have ruined his image.

I am really tired of hearing about Tiger!!!!!!! He's ridiculous and he prolly had that speach written for him. I am getting mad because his dumb decisions are taking up my shows, like Nancy Grace :( Dont know why she cares what he does in his life...let him do what he wants. I hope his wife leaves him, she could divorce and make lots of money off that golf boy lol.

I honestly don't think its really anyones business. Of course what he did to his wife (cheating on her) was wrong but that is nobodies business. The only reason a public apology was necessary is because the media had to prove to be the scum that they are and make his privet affairs public, by blasting his adultery on every channel, every radio station, and every magazine cover. and since this man is a pro-athlete many of our children look up to him, as a role modal for children his affairs set a bad example for our young boys, thus, his apology was needed. but had the press and media keep their nose out of his personal life and let his wife deal with his adultery herself, then our children would never have heard about it and he would not have need to apologize to anyone but his family. i think the hole thing is ridiculous.

Honestly I don't feel anyone is owed an appology except his wife. I just think that this was something to try to salvage his popularity but for me it was a big turn off. Want to show your fans your sorry for your actions. Then change the way your are and be an example for your young fans.

I feel so sad for him. He has no clue what it means to love himself or anyone else. Who cares about his 'talent' on the golf course, that doesn't make a person a success in life.

I do think it is right for him to make a public apology especially since he is a role model for so many younger children & teenagers who aspire to be professional golfers. However, the "other women" that are coming out in the news as his mistresses infuriate me. Whatever happened to the SHAME of being "the other woman"?! Seems like in today's time, you gain popularity, fame and fortune from being "the other woman".
