My employer does not contribute to my health insurance premiums and I'm paying over 1/3 of my take-home pay to have coverage for only myself! I feel like I have to have insurance even though I've never had any major health issues, but it's getting really difficult for me to make ends meet.

Finances are on the top of my priority list right now. With the weather turning colder, I know my DH is due for a temporary lay-off (construction industry). I feel fortunate to have what we have, but it could all be gone in an instant if DH cannot get unemployment or another job.

My husband is in the military, currently he injuried his back working. I am really worried that if he is medically retired that the pay will not cover all expenses. I paln to work again when my youngest goes to school full time but with the economy in the state that it is there is not to many jobs open. We are grateful that medical and dental are provided to us by the military at a nominal cost but if he is retired then the cost goes up for the medical care. This is why finances our my top priority.

We are buying a new house, scheduled to close next week! I'm very focused on how this will change our financial situation and the excitement of our first home!

Even though I'm the youngest daughter, my family and our financial situation is on my mind. It's not easy living on a fixed income with a family of four and two cats.

Finances are my main priority right now. How we are doing financially determines the outcomes of a lot of other areas in our lives, like the holidays, birthdays, just extra spending on fast food or whatever. So I focus on that most of every day and watch every penny we spend. I do worry about the swine flu but not too much. It went through my kids school about 6 weeks ago. A lot of kids got sick, mine didn't, but none were seriously ill.
