Honey is just good stuff, my family loves peanut butter and honey sandwiches I put in in my tea and when my throat is sore I use hot water, lemon and honey it seems to work. As far as a suger substitute I personally don't care to use it that way. But I have made my own body scrubs using honey, sea salt and essential oils.
when i was younger my mom she used to give us honey viniger warm water when we had sore throats and believe it or not the sore throat would always be gone after and i still use the same thing now.o it also is very good too.

I eat honey every day. But, I would love to find out some of the beauty uses for it
I always purchase local honey, I have heard that eating LOCAL honey helps reduce seasonal allergy symptoms for some people. Here is a website where you can type in your zip code and find local honey in your area. -----http://www.localharvest.org/organic-honey.jsp ------also another article on honey launderers and the bad honey coming to the US from China, ------http://insects.about.com/b/2009/07/16/why-you-should-buy-local-honey.htm. We use honey to make honey-mustard dipping sauce, use it a lot in the winter in hot tea, the Applebees oriental salad dressing, or drizzle plain honey on hot biscuits. Don't use it as a face mask anymore because the price of good local honey as gone up so much in the past few years.
