We are retired...living in a resort community with 6 golf courses and much to do. Also both girls...one lives in PA the other in TX most of our vacation monies we have aside goes to airline tickets visiting them and our grandchildren. If I had a lot of money, I would travel more but life is good where we are too. Vacations are what you make of them whether they be stay at home doing local things or travelling around the world. Memories and taking time to smell the roses is what life is about.

I just took a week long "stay-cation"--catching up on projects around the house & reading a few good books was so relaxing!

We will be just doing things locally and at home, but will still enjoy spending time together as a family!

there are a lot of local things that you can do, and be sure to call around and find out with the off season is with different resorts or motels to get great deals. And the great stand-bye is a movie and popcorn at home!

Home state vacations or day trips are a great way to explore local tourist attractions and learn more about it's history. We never tire of the Adirondacks or Manhattan in our state

We will be doing more locally, having picnics at the park, etc. instead of a long vacation. We can't afford to go anywhere and I can't afford to take time off from work.

I'm an unemployed single mother. No where around where I live is hiring. I'm not even sure where else I could apply. But hopefully I will be able to give my son a good summer vacation in the town we live in.
