As a beauty consultant for a well known brand of cosmetics, I have the opportunity to try and sample some of the best cosmetics and hair products and advise family and friends of these same products while providing samples, as well.

I've never bought expensive stuff. The drugstore cosmetics/skincare work well enough for me. And by CVSing (and Walgreens) I get it all FREE... can't beat that no matter what the economy is like

I'm doing more comparison shopping now than ever before. I'm purchasing mostly from CVS and heading into the NYC line for the really great bargains (lipgloss, nail polish) and heading to Stop & Shop for the more essential items (mosturizers).

Ironically, the way the economy has affected my make up purchaes is that since I was laid off, I don't wear make up as often, so it lasts longer!

I love using the internet to both research reviews of products and buy them at the best prices. Actually, I find I am buying more now since I am not constrained by price and availability anymore.

I used to buy my makeup in the department store but it just became too expensive. I hope we get through the recession soon, so I can go back to the makeup that made me most happy.

I havent changed the supermakert or drugstore since i can remember putting on makeup. Especially now that i know my way around shopping i am more likely to pull out coupons at the super or drugstore than i would ever at high end stores. If i can save 3 dollars on the same product then im more likely to.

I recently lost my job and then became an Avon rep. to make ends meet. I really like Avon, their products have been recommended by many magazines such as Allure, Prevention, Good House Keeping etc. Another thing that 's great about them is that they are very reasonable and 100% guaranteed. youravon.com/corinnminyard
