I'm concerned about it, but I'm not in a panic state. I have just been washing my hands more often and will try to keep away from sick people. Other than that, there isn't much I can do but pray my family and I don't get it.

If I go shopping I clean the shopping cart handles prior to touching them. When I go to the gym we have to clean the equipment after we use it. I constantly wash my hands.

Our schoolds just closed yesterday and will be closed until May 8th!! It's pretty big around here. I continue to disinfect and wash-a few extra times than normal. BUT DON'T USE LYSOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! LYSOL and BLEACH are pesticides, and Lysol is actually in the top 12 CANCER-CAUSING PRODUCTS. (just google "dirty dozen cancer" Go to www.CleaningMakesMeSick.com to learn more about buying products that disifect NATURALLY and won't hurt you or your kiddos! I never use lysol!! It does more harm than good.

I am taking this seriously just like I would any flu outbreak. remember avian flu (the bird flu)? people were wearing masks etc. I always wash my hands a lot almost (but not quite ocd) excessive. with elementary age children I also tell them and always have; wash wash wash your hands. they are instructed to wash their hands after being on the playground, before they eat, and to (try) to keep their hands away from their mouth, nose, face. thats not realistic with kids but I still remind them daily. I do not touch hand rails on escalators and in elevators I will press buttons with my elbow or piece of paper or napkin. I have seen many many people use the restroom in public places and come out of the stall and walk out with out washing their hands, that just really grosses me out.

i haven't even hardly given it any thought. I am home most of the time, but even so I never get sick. ( other than vomiting non-stop when its that time of the month) My body is used to weird things. My mothers family are all gypsies and really into the natural healing and things so when i was little they started me on herbs that fight pretty much any kind of illness, but are poisonous to most people. So now I'm immune to them, and religiously take them and don't worry about catching my death from a flu or illness.

Interesting that we are now at Stage 5 of 6. That makes me more nervous about what they aren't telling the public. Actions speak louder than words right? Yes, wash those hands, but this flu is a airborne virus, so you could just breathe it in without touching anyone/anything. Maintain a good distance (personal space) from people when talking and encourage people to stay home if they are seeing EARLY symptoms of a cold/flu/allergies beyond the normal seasonal stuff.

We haven't seen any cases here in Colorado but we are taking this seriously. I can't stress washing your hands enough!! Hopefully this will pass soon.

The precautions they offer are no more than simply tips to stay sanitary- wash your hands, cover your mouth when you cough, don't hang out with people that are sick... I mean this is all stuff we learned in elementary school! Take your vitamins and chill- worrying will only make it worse :) God bless and I hope we all stay well!
