If your sleep has suffered since the recession started, have you taken any remedies to alleviate the sleeplessness (check all that apply)?

In our last SheSpeaks poll, we asked how your emotional state has changed since the recession began.  A whopping 40% of you (the #1 answer) said that you were more "stressed".

With all of this additional stress, we wondered, are women losing sleep?  If you are losing sleep, what are you doing to try and get more of it?

We want to know.  Please share your thoughts!

No, I haven't lost any sleep (39.1%)

Yes, natural remedies (tea, yoga, meditation) (12.4%)

Yes, over-the-counter remedies (Advil PM etc.) (23.6%)

I take a Melatonin tablet every night. It helps most of the time. No nasty side effects from prescription meds.

I have no problem falling asleep on the couch while watching tv but once I try to go to bed my mind starts racing and I can't go to sleep, so frustrating!

I sometimes have a hard time going to sleep. Money worries or any type of worry for that matter can make you restless and toss and turn. The best thing is to free your mind, sing an upbeat tune in your head or think of anything other than something that is bothering you..............

I do have some problems falling & staying asleep due to worry & stress...my mind does that racing thing..grrr! Sometimes i'll take an Advil PM if i've had a bad day which usually leads to a bad sleepless night. I'll also drink a hot cup of herb & spearmint tea to help me relax before bedtime.

I usually fall asleep on the couch watching TV then wake up at 2AM & go to bed, but the interuption makes me feel groggy in the morning.... so I have made a serious effort to just go to bed & not watch TV lying down but sitting up instead.

I fall asleep fairly quickly, I guess it's because I am tired after a long day.
