I know he wants to do the best he can to get everyone out of this economic mess. it won't happen quickly, but he started before day one to deal with the issues. If we don't get bipartisan cooperation it will take so much longer. Our representatives should be looking for ways to help the President succeed in his mission since it means things will be better for all of us. This rock throwing really doesn't accomplish anything positive and keeps a negative slant when people need it the least.

I am pretty disgusted with the 2009 spending bill that he has the option to veto and will not. Over 8000 earmarks in this bill which he promised during his campaign he would stop. Do we really need to be spending money in this economy on research for pig odor or grape gentics? People should take a look at the truth, just another politician after all... I don't expect change overnight, but he has the power to stop this and has stated he will sign. Let's hope it doesn't get through ..

    It's to early to tell.

It's too soon to tell: it took 8 years of Bush (for those of you who forgot...the recession began in 2007.) to get us into this mess; how can we expect to get out of it in just over a month? Give the man a chance!

In case people did not pay attention, let me refresh some memories. He has accomplished absolutly everything he promised during his campaign. This President was given a HUGE mess, a gift from the previous criminals that occupied the White House. It is going to take a lot of time to even think about recovering from the Bush regime..a very long time. I think Obama is doing a great job so far, and I have faith that he will CONTINUE to accomplish big things. I urge you to actually READ the SPENDING BILL (yes, it IS a spending bill...SPENDING is the ONLY way to get a stalled economy going...VERY basic economics...very basic), instead of regurgitating the republican rhetoric, educate yourself regarding who actually requested and is using the 'pork' people are accusing him of padding....REPUBLICANS requested and got 75% of the funding the reps are COMPLAINING about.....

Obama is a blessing to this great nation. He cannot fix anything overnight, but with our prayers, I believe that this nation will thrive again.

I think he's just another crooked politician. He has gone back on so many of his promises. And now he's trying to take away many of our freedoms. All this spending is just going to put us deeper in debt and delay the inevitable. It's frightening. You're right that it took many years to get where we're at, but let's be honest, this has been caused by overspending by the past administration. And now, we're just heading further down the same scary path.

I think he's going to do a great job but it's a little early to start judging how he's doing....

It is really hard to know how well or not well he is doing. He has stepped into the presidency at one of the worst economic times.... and so we'll have to see how well his plan works and how long it takes, etc... So far though, it seems he is doing an adequate job of dealing with the crisis at hand.
