This year, the kids and I will be making gifts for my husband. I am so happy that if falls on Saturday this year because we will all be spending the day together. Hopefully, it's a nice day and maybe we can take a trip to the zoo. I'll probably surprise my husband with a Carvel ice cream cake too since that's one of his favorite treats!!!

Me and Husband are all about enjoying the time together (especially post baby) without spending a lot. We did that when we were dating. Now we're all about saving money or in this year's case using our money for more important things i.e. remodeling kitchen.

I usually make a special dinner for the family. My girls are getting older one teenager so I really love being with them and my husband feels the same way. Its all about family to us. The girls wake up to a large Hershey chocolate bar, and a small gift. Dad gets them a surprise when he walks in from work. Romance comes when the pressure is off.

Valentines Day is supposed to be from the heart, not the pocket book. A thoughtful deed for a friend or family member and a special dinner and time with husband is enough for us. A love letter written to each other has become a tradiiton after we married almost 25 years ago. They are special treasures and have kept our marriage strong. I highly recommnend it to other couples starting out!
