How many social networks (ie Facebook, Classmates.com, a Ning network, a private social network, etc.) are you actively involved in (ie., log in at least 2x/month)?

It seems that every day a new online social network pops up.  We seem to receive invitations to participate in a new social network every week!  So we started to wonder, just how many social networks can an individual really keep up with?

How many social networks are you a part of?  Do you find them valuable?  What do you like about them?

    I am on my 20 year reunion committee and these sites have been such a blessing to help find people that are 'missing'. I do agree also that they are extremely addictive. I moved to Florida after 7th grade in Illinois. Just yesterday I was contacted by my 7th grade BFF and that led to 3 other girls from 7th grade contacting me as well!

    I'm addicted to both Facebook and MySpace. Both are excellent ways to stay in touch with people I haven't seen or see on a regular basis. I'm a college student, and it's nice to communicate with classmates and also people from home that I don't always get to see. My mom and sisters are also on Facebook, and that's how we communicate and keep up with each other in our busy lives. It's also fun to see other people's pictures and find out what they're up to. I guess maybe I've become a stalker... Haha... I love it though.

    I'm not on My Space or Facebook - but I use other sites and usually check in on a daily basis.

    It is so great to be able to connect with old friends from high school on social networks. It is also great to talk to people who might not live close to me.

    I have recently signed up for Facebook and I have located a couple of good friends that I went to high school and college with. One of them is living in Japan. What a great way to find old friends!!!

    I love being a part of a social network. I'm disabled and can't work any more. This makes me feel connected to people again.

    I love facebook! It is a great way to keep in touch with people and see what they are up to!
