Have you ever purchased a beauty product "as seen on TV?"

Recently we’ve noticed a lot of product reviews on SheSpeaks inspired by beauty products advertised on television. Some of these "as seen on TV" products include "Strap Perfect," the bra strap eliminator, "Bumpits," the hair accessory that gives volume to the crown of the head, and "Smooth Away," the all-over hair remover.

We are curious to know what you think of products advertised on TV in the form of an infomercial. Are they too hard of a sell? Or, do the product demonstrations persuade you to buy? We’d love to hear about the items you’ve bought and if you’ve been satisfied with your purchase!

One other product I bought was some sort of a vacuum and u had to buy two ..my mom and I shared the cost and it came w/ a steam cleaner for free plus s/h.. it was gosh darn awful... another thing we bought was a pedegg .. But this I bought at the bargain channel radio station near my home. It works great and it was only 4 for $10.00 or $2.50 ea and no s/h.. great buy there and I gave one to my mom, one to my aunt, kept one and gave one as a gift. They thought I paid at least $10 each but if they only knew! shhhhhhhhhh! Thank you.

I bought the Ped Egg for my feet and love it. It took a little while to get the hang of how much pressure to use, but it works great making me feet sandle ready. I have been interested in the E-Z combs but have hesitated because my hair is very fine and usually barettes and things slide right out of it. Has anyone bought these and can they share their insight about them. Thanks!

I don't buy things that are shown on tv because I don't want to pay shipping, I want to see it in person, and sometimes the television ads exaggerate too much. I do my research, but I prefer to buy things online that have reviews right on the site.

Okay the facial buffer does take off the hair..but in the process it also causes distress to the face..without realizing it ..i gave myself the equal to a chemical burn and now I have a scar on my face..its like a microdermabrasion..so you have to go so lightly when using it..now the ped egg..did take off skin..but because they want you to use it when its dry..it only cut up my foot without smoothing it down and made it worse..don't buy either products..and the bump its..you can see them in the hair..so whats the point..after all the teasing you have to do..you would be better off to skip them..
