Spring is well underway and it seems like so many of us like to "brighten" our look after the long and dark winter! So, we were curious, just how many of us actually highlight our hair?
Whether you do it to cover grey, brighten up your own color or to completely change color, we were curious, do you color or highlight your hair? Why?
Yes- I usually do it myself with home hair color products (50.5%)
Yes- I usually go to a salon for a stylist to do (28.5%)
No- I do not color or highlight my hair (11.6%)
Not yet, but I'm thinking about it (9.3%)
Sorry my baby interupted my post. I would like to know if anyone knows how to take out the red tones , and also keep your hair from feeling like straw. I have tried almond oil, olive oil but still don't know. But I can't afford the beauticians anymore. Or the time it takes for a cut and color 4hrs....
I have been doing it for months. It is alot cheaper than getting it professionally done. It looks almost as good. Everyone tells me it looks natural.
I have done this for the past couple of years, only to "hide" the grays on certain areas. I have never dyed all of my hair.
I go to the salon. I get mine highlighted instead of colored - it lasts longer. I tried to color it myself but had problems covering the gray, left it on longer than recommended, and it was really bad for my hair - I could tell how dry it was.
I do my own hair at home. It saves a ton of money and time!!! I always do a better job then the salon. Everyone tells me that I have beautiful hair.
I go to the salon. My natural color is blonde, and I learned the hard way that when coloring at home either to brighten or darken, it is quite difficult to get an even cover. Everytime I'm brave enough to do something on my own, I have to listen to my hairdresser chastise me for the length of time it takes to correct!
I do it myself. I do it to save money and now that I have those "greys" coming in, it would be too costly, I have to color quite often.
I've always done it myself. The store bought products are a good quality and easy to use. If I was going to do highlights though, I think I'd have someone else do it.
I do my hair as well as my daughters hair with store bought products, they seem to last as long and are a lot cheaper then having someone else do it.
I'm blessed with a beautician mother...so my hair-dos are free! (except I pay her for the products.)
