What has he accomplished, emach12? Except perhaps, being the guiness book of world record 'egomaniacal horn tooter' .. and appointing a bunch of dishonest nimrods to his cabinet? This guy thinks he is the messiah or something .. well we all know what befalls messiahs throughout history! Just when we thought it couldn't get work than Bush, we get Obama. Nice. Printing more money is not the answer .. and in 10 years, you can look around you at our 3rd world country in the USA and remember that I said, I told you so.

I've been very pleased with many of the changes he has made so far. WIth a quick stroke of his pen he was able to fix many of my biggest problems with the previous administration. He's passed fair pay legislation, he's reversed our global policy on abstinence only assistance, and most recently overturned the stem-cell ban. He's sticking by many of his campaign promises. People complain about earmarks as a whole, but when they examine the individual projects, they almost always support them. Earmarks (like research for pig odor or grame genetics . . .)provide money for graduate students tuition and support those seeking higher education. That money pays the salaries of staff and researchers. Earmarks help local economies, etc. It is easy to paint earmarks as bad, but almost everyone benefits from an earmark project targeting their local area.

I think it is too early to tell. Give him a chance. I do believe that he is really trying what is best for the country.

I cannot belive that anyone in their right mind that giving us $10 per pay will stimulate anything but anger! I sure am not going out on a shopping spree on that 10 bucks. I can't pay my bils, I cant even pay attention right now! LOL I just don't see the logic in any of the governmental policies. They make budgets and don't stick to them. If we make budgets and don't stick to them, we just lose everything. they just print more money! I feel violated and betrayed by the politicians. If they had to live in our shoes for one month they would have better solutions.

He seems to be paying back favors to those who got him elected. He is growing our government in ways we might never be rid. Spending by the people not the government is the way out of this economic recession.

I agree with some of the other ladies who say that he definitely lied during his campaign saying he would remove the earmarks. There has been more wasteful spending in the first month of his presidency than there probably has been EVER!

He's doing a good job if you think good government is big government.
