With so many offers and gift suggestions on TV, in magazines and in stores, have you taken time to think about what you would really like this year? Perhaps you will treat yourself with a little reward for a year of hard work. For others something money can't buy is much more appealing at the end of a busy year.
Which of the the gifts topped your list? Why?
A piece of jewelry (5.1%)
More time with your family (18.2%)
A vacation/getaway (36.2%)
A gift card that you can use anywhere (33.1%)
More time to yourself (7.5%)
I love gift cards. Bad thing is I end up buying stuff for others with it. I get more joy from that!
I would love a vacation since we had to cancel our trip to Jamaica. Our daughter suprised us that she wanted to get married!!
Jewelry....it would have to be really NICE jewelry, but that's still my answer!
a vacation with me and my extended family but also opportunities just to be by myself would be fabulous! sometimes our house is just too small -- i would love for my husband to take the kids away for one full day and/or night and let me have a break at home, alone! Even mundane things like ironing & cleaning could be done in complete, pleasurable silence. I love my family but dislike being at their beck-and-call 100% of the time. SIGH....
I love gift cards because i can use it on something i want and i got it no one else.
I chose the giftcards. I am a stay at home mom and my parents/sister live 10 minutes away so I see my family enough :P
I agree I love getting gift cards as well.It really does make it easier on the gift giver.
I'm still old-fashioned in that I like a sparkly piece of jewelry. My boyfriend especially spends more money on jewelry for me than I would ever spend on myself! It's nice to have expensive jewelry without the guilt.
I would really love a vacation with my family to spend more time with them away from our daily routine.
Gifts are nice, don't get me wrong. But my biggest wish is family time. My husband has been in the military for 10 years and before our children I was by myself, if he was away. Since our families are so far away we can't always see them. My husband has been home for 2 christmas' in 10 years. Thats my greatest wish not the superficial things!
