Valentine’s Day is around the corner. Will this be another holiday where our shrinking wallets speak?! Are you planning to celebrate? Will you be spending less this year?

Nothing. I never buy gifts for Valentines Day. (16.7%)
We are going out to eat and then to a movie. Nothing expensive though. We are watching our spending. Just being together is great!
The best gift is not having to remind my hubby it's Valentines! Dinner out is fine with both of us.
I have 3 children ages 15, 8, 4 so i would really enjoy going out to dinner by ourselves. I really enjoy dinner in peace and quiet.
Splurge on some chocolate and tell my family I love them!
We have four kids. We get them a little something, but do not tend to spend excessive amounts on Valentine's day. Christmas is another story. lol
My husband and I do the same dinner out with out our kids, but it is really nice to have one night out together.
We'll go out to dinner on the 15th like we always do. There are no lines, the waiters and waitresses are MUCH happier, the prices of everything will be back to normal and we don't have to deal with the masses! It's such a tacky holiday anyway. :-)
My husband is not the most romantic guy in the world, but he said he was willing to "work on it". So I suggested trial by fire: He is responsible for planning VD this year! I told him it could be big or small, it just had to come from him and his heart. I am cautiously opptimistic that he will come through...I know I'm rooting for him!
My husband and I don't buy gifts for each other on holidays. We get each other things just because, but we will be getting our kids small gifts.
I just don't get this whole thing about celebrating - why? It never used to be celebrated, here in Australia and I remember it came into vogue around 1972. Have always thought it a commercial money making ploy. If my significant other were to buy me something because of this spurious reason, I would be so disappointed. I do think it is lovely when something is done, "just because' and for no other reason.
