I get a mammogram every year on my birthday-easy to remember to schedule it.
Mamogram
Mammogram saved my life! My breast cancer was caught at stage one. I had lumpectomy and radiation. I am a seven year survivor. Mammograms are important!!
Had a bad experience 10 years ago with a biopsy (which was negative) but left with pain ever since. It's why I will never do any of the above again.
My mother lost her battle with breast cancer and my sister was recently diagnosed. I visit my doctor annually for an exam and I schedule my mammogram 6 months from that visit. That way I'm getting checked every 6 months.
I do a self exam. I am not old enough for my insurance to cover an exam yet.
Mamo and exam by doc
My mother had breast cancer when she was only 40 years old, and her mom had it two separate times. I had a prophylactic bilateral mastectomy after learning I had a genetic mutation and an 87% risk of getting breast cancer.
