Recently we polled SheSpeaks members on their perceptions of President Obama’s first year in office. About 28% thought that he was doing a good job. So, we were curious, if you voted for President Obama in the 2008 Presidential run, would you vote for him again? Why or why not?
Please tell us what you think. We want to know.
Yes (55.5%)
No (10.2%)
I did not vote for Obama (34.5%)
I voted for Obama in 2008 and I still stand behind my vote. I truly believed in his message of change. I will say that he seems to be having a harder time implementing this change. I'm not sure that he fully appreciated what it would take. Clearly with the outcome of the recent senate race in MA, the nation is losing patience with Obama and his administration. Let's hope that he and the Democrats take it as a sign to move more quickly.
I agree with steffie some what, I feel that the President need time and patient from the country. I too stand behind my vote. I am very patient and prayful with the understanding that this is his first year and he was served with a very full plate. I still have hope for a better USA/World.
I voted for President Obama in 2008 and would still vote for him. The stats show that he as made good on some of his goals while others, even he admits will take time. He's doing a great job.
I voted and campaigned for him . I listen to his words, watch his body movements and clearlly see a man who's not a puffer, meaning someone who just says what you want tohear. The feel I get from him is that he truly wants this country to become a better one. He is subtle in his ways realizing that saying a bunch of crap is the last thing we want to hear again. He is truly trying his best but look what he was handed. He doesnt act nervous, he doesnt appear to be lying, he has to be frustrated but is remaining calm in the eye of the sstorm. He is doing one heck of a job and he cannot bring miracles. Time is needed and no one is seeing everything he has accomplished. We are a spoiled bunch of people who are ungrateful and i am sorry for that. He is doing an excellent job to anyone that is really paying attention to what is going on.
I agree with the other posts, too. I voted for him and would do it again. Did people really expect that something that took years and years to go bad would be "fixed" in a mere few months, or a year?? The fear that is being BROADCAST from those who oppose him is ridiculous and is a huge part of the problem. The Republican Party has a goal- not to try to work with our President, not to bring about changes that will help our Nation, not to try to do ANY good for our people. Their primary goal right now is to OPPOSE everything that ANY Democrat is in favor of. Regardless of what it is.....they have lost their focus as a whole and need to regroup and do what they were elected to do.
Yes, I would definitely vote for President Obama because he is a very good person and chief and commander. He has rebuilt this country from the break of fall. He has had a great impact on many people lives however, he will never be able to please us all.
I agree with what misskelly said. The republican party is not working to help the American people, they are only working to gain more power for themselves. If they truly want to help then it should not matter who comes up with the idea or plan, if it's a good one, then implement it. I would totally vote for Obama again, but this time, I would also vote for democratic Senators and Representatives.
I did not vote for President Obama and happy I did not. He is trying to turn this country into a socialistic country. He has done nothing but lie to the american people.
I agree whole heartedly with poalady44. I have a lot of problems with his beliefs. He has socialize with many unsavory people. Wake up America!!!!!
Thank you poalady44, I could not agree with you more. I did not vote for Oboma and I think what he is trying to do this country is very sad. I have no desire to live in a socialistic country.
