In the old days, we had to wait around for our favorite show to come on TV. Then we laboriously programmed our VCRs to make sure we didn’t miss our favorite programs. We also ran out to the local video stores to pick up movies and shows we wanted to see. More recently, DVRs/TiVos give us more control over watching what we want when we want, and NetFlix sends videos to our homes without having to run out to the video store.
And now, with Hulu, network websites and YouTube, it seems we have endless choices and can watch almost anything we want when we want it. What sources do you go to online to watch TV programs? What do you like about them, and what would you like to see improved?
Yes, on Hulu or a similar online video service (25.3%)
Yes, on a network website (i.e., NBC, ABC) (33.3%)
Yes, on a cable website (i.e., Comedy Central, TLC) (11.5%)
Yes, on YouTube (10.2%)
No, I have not watched a full TV episode online in the past week (47.5%)
yes , I sometimes see the fox news to see what's going on in the world
Well I watch all my local broadcast online, I don't buy newspapers anymore because I got to my local website and read them. And when I am in the mood for a movie, I find one online.
Hulu, youtube, myspace, and the list goes on....
The list is very long for me. I always watch Heroes on Hulu (and sometimes TV). I watch 90210 and America's Next Top Model on The CW's website.
I like to catch up on what I missed.
I watch The Daily Show and the Colbert Report when I miss it on TV.
It's nice to catch up on a show I've missed on the network website.
I can usually record all the shows I want to watch on my cable dvr but.... every now and then I mess up and miss one. So, it is great to have the ability to still get to watch it on the web. Thanks to all these websites for providing this service!
We use to watch Hulu all the time, before we got Dish..
I COMPLETELY STAND BEHIND YOUTUBE.....THATS THE WEBSITE WHERE YOU CANT WATCH ANYTHING UNDER THE SUN
