New retail data was just released and it seems that consumers are spending less than expected. On the other hand, the information on the health of the overall economy has been encouraging in the last couple of weeks. So, we were curious, how are you feeling about spending your money over the last 1-2 months?
Please tell us what you think. We want to know!
I'm spending More (12.2%)
I'm spending the Same (34.5%)
I'm spending Less (53.3%)
Everything is just getting more and more expensive.I guess I will have to wait for the economy to get better to go back on my wonderful shopping sprees that I miss so much.Maybe if the government would hit up the rich instead of the middle class for more money,I think more people would spend and the economy would be better, but who would listen to me
My hubby's hours got cut a lot at work. We have cut back as much as possible!
I retired 1 month ago and have to get used to living on a smaller income.
I'm just buying what I'm really need at the moment.
I'm a college student, and currently don't have a job. I also am doing an internship... and have to drive 70 miles one way to get there. I've completely stopped driving to place I don't HAVE to go... I don't eat out quite as often as I used to, and I only buy things I absolutely have to have. Thankfully, my parents are helping me out when I need it now... but I hate depending on them, especially in this economy!
The ecomomy is so bad right now, so we're really watching what we're spending. We're buying what we need, not what we want!
We are only spending on what we have to have and putting back all that we can in savings.
Just food, gas and bills! It is sad, but don't want to be out on the street!
I try to buy only what we need
My husband and I are in the process of buying our first home so we are spending ALOT less. That will change after we move in though!
