The current economic situation in the US is causing many people to tighten their spending.
If you plan to pull back on your spending, where will you be spending less and why?
Grocery Store (11.3%)
Department Store (39.5%)
Mass Merchandiser (Wal*Mart, Kmart, Target) (22.7%)
Club Store (Costco, Sam?s, etc.) (4.0%)
Discount Store (TJ Maxx, Filene?s, etc.) (4.0%)
Drug Store (1.8%)
Big Box Retailer (Home Depot, Staples, Toys R Us, etc.) (16.7%)
I will be spending at stores like WalMart on non-essencial items.
THAT IS IF WE HAVE ANYTHING TO SPEND AFTER BILLS
Yeah totally if any essentials are needed after bills
As a single mom...if there was a "all the above" choice....thats what I would have chosen.
because of losing my job to overseas, and being forced to re-tire and having a husband on dialysis, money is very low
need to watch money very closely
hope our next president can free up some money TO spend
the cost of living is sooooooo high
I am a single mother of 2 and I also am the sole support for my elderly mother on my salary of 9.50 and hour. The best advice I can give is if you don't need it, don't buy it. If its something you really want. Put a couple of dollars a week back in a jar or fund and save for it. You would be surprised at how fast a couple of dollars a week and whatever change you have in your pocket or purse can add up. It may take longer to get the item but by the time you save enough to get it you may find you didn't want it that bad after all and use the money for something more useful.
Mass Merchandiser; espeacially Wal-Mart! For one they more into towns forcesmaller stores to close then hike there prices up to whatever they please! The town I live in Used to have a Big Lots & a K-Mart, then along came Wal-Mart. Now They're prices are so high now it's worth it to drive 30 minutes to the next town to shop!
