What types of items would you be open to buying this way?
Yes! It's so much better for the environment (69.8%)
No. It sounds like too much work (3.1%)
Not sure. If there was a store near me, I'd check it out (26.9%)
I love the idea of stores refilling bottles to help the environment!
I would definitely check this out. I currently get larger bottles to refill smaller bottles of things like hand soap. It's less expensive too. I currently recycle as much plastic as I can. We do have a well for water so I put empty glass jars in the dishwasher so bugs don't get in my recycling. I find jams & jellys in pretty jars & then save the jars to put flowers in. We all have to get creative in recycling.
I've seen this in a second hand discount store before. I never used it but I would if the price is reasonable. The store I was in had name brand laundry detergent & yes, it was rather messy, detergent was running all down the side of the huge tanks that we're holding the detergent!
Great idea. I?ve been into ideas like this especially when starting my minimalist journey. We as Americans can be wasteful; it?s been to cut back on as much as we can.
Yes absolutely. I have a water cooler than uses the 5 gal water bottles. I do the same with small bottles of water. I reuse bottles several times.
I would definitely check it out.
All about it!!
Great idea. Especially since the world is trying to become more resourceful and not being so wasteful! Recycle and reuse!
If it could save money and help reduce waste, it's a win win. Not sure what the odds are that I would remember to carry my empty detergent bottle back to a store with me, at least at first. Would need to be a clean process though.
