Did you watch the women's FIFA World Cup?

The U.S. played Japan in the finals and Japan took the game with a 3:1 victory.  What are your thoughts on the outcome of the game?

    While I am sad that the US team did not win... I can't help but be incredibly happy for Japan. They have been dealt such horrible losses this year and are still in the midst of such chaos that this win is well deserved by the team and for their country. Many blessings of good fortune to please come to Japan - they need some more than most.

    I agree with blueeyes they needed this win, after all that has happened there.

    I agree that if the US couldn't win, seeing Japan win still left me with good feelings. We were bummed that the game only seemed to be accessible with cable. That was the first time we were closed out of something we really wanted to see since we gave it up!

    My husband and I truly enjoyed the World Cup. I was rooting for Japan - I have the tendency to root for the underdog but I have to admit I was suprised they won. The US team were good, but missed so many opporunities! With that said, I agree with the other commenters - Japan needed this win.
