Kids are spoiled as is. All they want are some form of electronics and being a stay at home mom with only my husband working it does get very difficult to please them with getting them everything they ask for! Thanks

Christmas should NOT be about the gifts, but about the love...

Thankfully, my daughter is still little enough to not really care how many presents she gets. She's so happy with everything! This will be the first year she will really enjoy Christmas!!!

No, but I do try to get as close as I can to list. Only a few things she doesn't get. Things I think are totally stupid no way. A 11yr old can make some weird requests. Everyone have a great Holiday!

In my family, Santa only brings one toy for Christmas per child. Why should he get ALL the credit?

I think a lot of kids are asking for much too expensive gifts anymore because of all the advertising and peer pressure from their friends. A child does not need to get everything that they ask for all the time or they will just become spoiled and unappreciative. I think kids should learn to save for the expensive things and see how much money it takes to buy these items for themselves.

I heard something just yesterday that I wish we could have started years ago. Jesus received 3 gifts so some friends of mine get their children each 3 (just small gifts). What a wonderful way to share the story and keep Christ in Christmas.

We may give a gift on their wish list if we feel it would better their life. We usually just set a budget & work very hard to stay within it. (4 adult kids, 3-16 yr olds, & 3 grandkids) We want our kids to learn the fun of receiving a gift, but also, the wonderful feeling of giving to someone that really NEEDS a simple pleasure in life. (a warm coat, mittens, blanket, food...) If you receive, so shall you give. If you get something new, you need to give something to someone in need.
