Do you think the cold weather across the U.S., particularly in Florida, has anything to do with global climate change?

Across the U.S., the weather has been unseasonal.  Last week, Florida experienced freezing temperatures.  We were curious, given the strange weather patterns of late, do you think that global climate change is upon us?

Please tell us what you think.  We want to know!

Yes, the unusual weather is a symptom of global climate change (52.5%)

Yes, the cold weather proves that climate change is NOT a problem (6.0%)

No, the cold weather is just a natural occurance unrelated to climate change (41.5%)

This "me" society has to change. We need to start thinking about all of the pollution we generate. Even if you feel the weather is not related to climate change, we are ruining our earth for future generations. Doing something simple like not using bottled water, changing our light bulbs to CFLs, etc. will help.

It is really hard to say what the root icause is of the bizarre weather. This is winter afterall, so with that comes cold, wind, sleet and snow. How far down it heads depends on wind patterns and currents. Could it be climate change related.....possibly, but who is to say for sure. We all just need to do our part regardless of what is generating this weather that we are currently experiencing. We all need to take care of the planet we live on and we need to do it every day, in every way so that future generations can enjoy it as well!

For those that do not believe there is global warming.... What if you're wrong?

With how many people we have on this Earth, our actions must affect the world in some way... pollution and unhealthy living is most likely damaging our climate, and I believe this can be seen by the effect on the weather.

I think to point it's getting colder and warmer in some places. I live in So Cal and I can honestly tell you that in November and December it was very cold for us in the mornings. It's been like that the last couple of years. Ice on the ground and very cold whether patterns.

Yes, history tells us that the climate changes over time. And I believe that global warming is a real crisis that needs to be giving serious thought. And there are some things that we can do to make a difference in these conditions, such as focusing on the reductions of pollution. Because pollution gases causes the ozone layer to thin. Recycling our material such as plastic and paper can save our planet and all of these small changes can help to reduce the impact of climate change.

What people need to do is go back to the basics . Growing your own vegetables saves gas atleast 2 differenet ways . From the farm to the store . Then your drive to the store and back . Ride a bike to and from work . Use candles instead of turning on the lights . Construct a beneficial craft , like sewing a pillow by hand , instead of watching TV . There are so many ways to help the environment , but the world seems to be stuck in a material age .

I believe that climate change is beyond our control and not something we cause. It is easy for everyone to point fingers and panic but we had global warming and an ice age when there were no factories, just neanderthals and wooly mammoths. So I always think pollution elimination is a great idea, but I don't think it causes global warming more than just natural climate changes do.
