The Kitchen Aid mixer IS top of the line! I use it a lot more during the holidays when we have big gatherings, and I don't know how I got by without having one in my kitchen for so long! I've had mine for 2 years now, and use it about twice a week whether making home made cinnamon rolls or whipping up mashed potatoes, it does the job effortlessly!

We use to have the Artisan model, it worked quite well, however, the amount of baking that I amd my wife have done, we actually ended up switching to the KitchenAid Professional series model. The Professional series costs more, but is a better mixer if you do a lot of mixing throughout the week. If you use a mixer occassionally, the Artisan model is quite good. We never had any problems with the one we use to own. I would recommend it to anyone who wanted a good mixer. However, for someone who does a lot of mixing, I wouldn't get it - you would want something more powerful.

I purchased the Professional in white for my daughter-in-law. I wanted the top of the line because "she" is top of the line. She loves it!! Now all her future gifts from me will be the attachments. I'll keep you informed about the attachments.

I have a kitchenaid mixer and I use it all the time. It is my favorite thing in my kitchen!! I don't think cooking would be complete without it.

I have a red KitchenAid mixer which is the star of my kitchen. I am not a kitchen gadget person so any "tool" has to be the best and indispensable. I have never had a problem with my mixer which in car terms has probably gone over the 100,000 mile mark. I use it for all kinds of baking and whipping. It has never let me down! I wish everything in life were this dependable.

My mom gave me her KitchenAid mixer. She had it for about 10 years before she gave it to me and now I have had it for 2 and I love it!

I got a white one for my wedding. Spend a little extra and get the bigger/better ones. I wish this one had a handle on the bowl. The motor is not as powerful as the bigger ones either and slows down if I try to mix bread, or thick dough in it. The beaters leave unmixed ingredients in the bottom. I love kitchen aid, and I do like my mixer, but I would definitely go for one of the more expensive models next time I get the chance.

Don't get the Artisan model. Spend a little more and get the real one. This one bogs down and the connecting pin works loose and the bowl is too small and the beaters leave unmixed ingredients in the bottom.

Best mixer you will ever buy! They are a little pricey but if you shop around you can always get a good deal. I bought my artisan in ice blue so it was a special order. I went to Bed Bath and Beyond with my 20% off coupon when it happened to have a special $30 mail in rebate and a free 1 year subscription to Food and Wine magazine. They had it shipped right to my house with free shipping. I also have quite a few attachments for it like the ice cream mixing bowl, food grinder, pasta press, and the 3 attachments that come with it. It is worth every penny.

My elderly neighbor gave me this mixer because she is unable to bake anymore. I love it and it's great for mixing anything from cookie dough to whipped potatoes.

I absolutely LOVE my KitchenAid mixer!!! I had one years ago but "lost it in the divorce" and my new husband bought me my current one for an anniversary gift (my request!). I use it ALL the time for everything from cookies to cakes to whipped potatoes.
