I received this mixer for a bridal show gift 13 years ago. It's one of my favorite kitchen items... My only problem is that I need to replace the attachments (wisk...paddle....etc.) as the metal top piece where it connects to the mixer is starting to wear and rub off on my hands. I worry that metal might be getting into my recipes. That is a minor replacement part....otherwise....I love it!

I could live without this especially at christmas time. It makes cookie making time much more fun and efficient. But it is kinda bulky and heavy

I have raised four children and I have never owned a mixer like this. Now that I have time ( and energy) I find myself cooking in a different way , looking for healthy dishes and trying new things. Unfortunate with this new found freedom has come the added consequences of arthritis and carpal tunnel. I would love the opportunity to try one and use the attachments to create exciting new foods for my grandchildren. The thing the most intrigues me about the mixer is that I an set to work without the need for me to hold it in my hand.

This is a great tool to have in the kitchen. Definitely beats a hand mixer! LOL! :)

Really the prettiest appliance I own, it looks so grand sitting on the counter. Before I got my Kitchenaid mixer, I dreamed about the day I would have one. Being a baker, this makes the task for mixing dough so much easier. It is really great and is quite the time saver. Once I started to use it I realized it was for more than just baking desserts. It's great for mixing quiche fillings and ground meat for meatloaf or hamburgers. My only sort of complaint is that I had purchased the attachments, like the juicer and meat grinder. For some reason, the motor with the attachments started not to work. They weren't something that I used often, but it was a little bit of a bummer. Luckily I still get plenty of use from it!

i'm still useing my kitchenaid stand mixer i got in 1975 from my grandmother who got it in 1927. a bit heavy, but works great.

Perfect at the holidays to get things done quick since you have more than 1 project going but it is a bit heavy to get out for smaller projects like cookies for school.

My husband bought me this mixer for my birthday when my daughter was two years old. I would bake 100's of cookies every year for our annual arts and crafts festival at our church and cakes for every occasion. She is 13 years old now and my mixer is still going strong. I have baked for every school function for those years and my mixer has saved me countless hours of work!

I received this as a wedding present and am an avid baker so I use it at least once a week. It really does make things easier, especially when I make batches of pizza dough to freeze. I took away a start because although I've only had it for 2 years it doesn't seem as powerful as it used to be and jumps around the counter a lot when handling dough. I think I'll upgrade to a more powerful version, but for now it's great.

Love this mixer and am so happy that I can let it do the hard work for me. I wish the bowl were bigger and that the unmixed batter didn't get stuck on the bottom of the bowl. Otherwise, it's great!

This is great and convenient but takes a lot of space on your counter..

I recieved this mixer as a gift. I love it but would not have been able to afford one on my own, a bit pricey. It works great for any and every kind of mixing I have tried. The one and only disadvantage is that I doesn't reach completely down the the bottom of the bowl. A quick stir with a spatula when you're done and that takes care of it though. Terrific product for multiple uses.

This appliance is TOPS for the busy homemaker who still enjoys baking her own bread. While some enjoy the labor involved with hand-kneading, this mixer will free you up for other tasks while keeping the kitchen mess to a very minimum. It sits right on my countertop until I'm ready for it, and it helps make homemade pizza more DO-able!!

I loved mine, but it was frustrating that it didn't mix all the way to the bottom of the bowl. Other than that it can do just about anything and I loved it!

I have never had any nice kitchen appliances but my b/f wanted this. I have no idea why. He has never baked in his life and doesn't want to. So I buy him this for the kitchen counter. Well, I used it and LOVE it! This is just so great. It's easy to use and easy to clean and I admit, we have the stainless one and it DOES look good on the counter.
