Does work, but not quick enough. Still ended up cutting my dog's nails. Have not tried it on my cat, not sure she would like it.

It's great for shaping! I use this after I cut my great danes claws with clippers. I use it to shape the nail into a rounded shape so it no longer has the sharp edges after cutting them. However i did give it only 3 stars because it would take forever to actually cut down the claw before the pet desides, Ok mom I'm done lol.

Worked okay, obviously my cat didn't like it but she didn't like the clippers either so. nice for shaping the nail.

i bought it at cvs and i was surprised when it trimmed my cats nails with ease but when it came to my lab (*puppy) the thing farted and couldnt sand the nail down.

I have to agree that the pedi paws bogs down when pressure is applied. I like the dremmel better... I have a cordless one that I bought for just a few more dollars that the pedi paws. I also use the "low" setting on the dremmel! Good Luck!

I have a small Lab and this does not work very well on her nails. It's not heavy-duty enough. I thought this would stop me from having to trim and hand file her nails, but it's easier and more effective if I do it myself. I couldn't stand the burnt nail shaving smell either. I wish I would have passed on this.

Diane1958 I bought this, what they don't tell you is it is good on small dogs and doesn't work on large dogs. It is a joke........I have a Golden Retriver doesn't work on her

I was not happy with this product. I have used a regular Dremel tool on my pets nails before and it worked well. Although I had to be very careful. I wanted to try this because it has the safety guard and I thought it would be much easier to use. But I could barely get my Jack Russell terrier's nails into the hole on the guard and then it would snag and jerk her nails. She is a rescue with a lame front leg and that was a little traumatic for her to have her paw jerked. The motor was also louder than the regular Dremel and the dogs could never get used to the sound. I tried following the directions for getting them adjusted and it just didn't work. I was very very disappointed. We have 5 dogs and 4 cats and I was looking forward to using this product on them all. :(

this has to be one of the worst products yet. I am all for not making my dog bleed from cutting its nails too far or them breaking, but the noise makes her pull away even more from me.

I used this product on one of my two chihuahuas and the head caught her little claw (nail) and pulled it around while it was spinning. Of course this scared and hurt my baby and so I took it back and got A refund. I did not even attempt to use it on my other chihuahua. In my opinion it would probably work better on larger animals with larger claws. I guess everything looks easier on television.

My dog hates it! Doesn't come near me when I have it out.

this product is ok

My husband uses this on our Beagle. Its okay, but you still need to file it afterward. I think its better for cats, not dogs. It makes too much noise and I don't think that helps any animal feel at ease.

It was really expensive and useless considering my dog is petrified of it. We have tried to acclimate him to it - but no luck!

Im not a big fan of this product. I don't think that it does much of anything and it takes a long time to make something happen.
