I have a Kitchen Maid Mixer. I use it occasionally. I find that it is too large for me so I use it for the recipes with large amounts of ingredients to be mixed. I use it if I double a recipe but for the normal mixtures I use a hand mixer. I find this is a little difficult to clean and takes up a bit of space on the counter.

Bread Dough Trouble I love this high powered mixer! I however, make a lot of bread dough & hate that the hook doesn't reach all the way to the bottom of the bowl! I hv to use my hand or a tool to mix the oil & salt & sugar in which makes it a pain when I'm trying to hurry!!

This is a great mixer but I think that other products could be found that work just as well for a lower price point.

My Kitchen Aid mixer makes baking much quicker and easier than using a hand mixer. The issue I have with it is that it leaves ingredients unmixed at the bottom and that is very frustrating.

Tough and powerful - - pros difficult to add ingredients while it's going and attachments are crazy expensive - - cons

I've had my Kitchen Aid mixer for years, now, and wouldn't be without it. I'd love to have a blue one, but my white one has worked great. It's big, so at times I have to ask my hubby to get it out for me. I'd love to have the new dough hook attachment. They've made an improvement on it and my sister loves it. After years of me raving about mine, she finally got one and can't figure out why she didn't get one sooner. Everyone who uses a mixer needs a Kitchen Aid.

I don't have one and hope to eventually get one! Thanks to all your comments, it will be Kitchen Aid.

i would love to test one of these i always whated one but cant aford it ,,, i love to cook

I love this mixer but it's true...it is heavy.

Love it - Only Issue is the size and weight of the unit. It is great but I would use it more if it were lighter.

Anything from kitchen aid works great! Best mixer I have tried so far.

I have had my mixer for 5 years and it has worked very well for me. Although for my purposes I think I would have done just as well with a smaller 2 beater hand mixer.

My Kitchen Aid mixer is my best friend in the kitchen when it comes to baking. It has the arm strength that I just don't have, and makes the job so much easier. Negative is the weight. Unfortunately, I can't keep it out and on the counter, so each time I need it I have to drag it out from a lower cabinet.

I got myself and my mom this for Christmas... She was over the moon about it, especially the color ( I got her the red) , was a bit jealous as the red is a very vibrant color in the kitchen. She used her's a couple times and has made bread from scratch is was the best homemade one I've had. Great buy.. Good for a million other uses too! Get it!

We use to have the Artisan model, it worked quite well, however, the amount of baking that I amd my wife have done, we actually ended up switching to the KitchenAid Professional series model. The Professional series costs more, but is a better mixer if you do a lot of mixing throughout the week. If you use a mixer occassionally, the Artisan model is quite good. We never had any problems with the one we use to own. I would recommend it to anyone who wanted a good mixer. However, for someone who does a lot of mixing, I wouldn't get it - you would want something more powerful.
