Abominable. Very poorly written (just how many times per page can a person "blush" or "cock his eyebrow"?), and just plain creepy. I don't get it.

This is really good summer reading! I'm on book 2 and I'm hooked!

Phew, what poorly written books! Even the "titillating" scenes weren't fun to read, just repetitive and boring after half a page. I can't believe the hype behind these books....

I typically don't read s&m this was my first time at it. I actually love the books. I got into them because a huge twihard (we are now called twishades) fan I had to read this because it was originally a twilight fanfic called Master of the Universe. I can't read it as Edward and Bella though, much prefer it as Christian and Anastasia. The last one in the series I am disappointed in the ending though it puts too much in a short time, it needed to go on a little more...

I started reading this story because it was highly recommended by friends and I was interested in it because of all the hype. I only gave these books three stars because the authors writing stinks. She repeats herself constantly and has her writing style is a little choppy. With that being said, the story is good and interesting. definitly a good beach read.

I enjoyed the first book and have just received the last two and am anxious to read them.

I'm on the 2nd novel and I'm really liking them. I don't often read S&M, but I actually think the author does well with the subject. It's discussed in a more tasteful way in my opinion. Someone mentioned trashy, bloody scenes, and to each his or her own, but I completely disagree. There's no blood in this. Also, they mentioned that they thought it would be a romance novel, and it certainly was. I found it exciting and fun and I'm really enjoying it.

LOVE this trilogy! I am normally not too much of a reader, but these books hook your right away. I ordered these on amazon and sold them right back within hours of finishing them! I can't wait to see the movie when it comes out! I only wish that she had more books out there for us 50 Shades fans to check out!!!!

After all the hype and publicity surrounding this book, I decided I needed to check it out. It starts out pretty good and draws you in. Then it just gets boring. Each scene soon becomes very predictable. I had to make my self finish the book, hoping something great and exciting would happen at the end. I was very disappointed. I'm not even interested in reading the other two books in the series.

I am a fan of books that describe the lives of people who seem ordinary but have many secrets in their lives. Fact is the story line of this series is not that far fetched. Also I would recommend reading at least book two along with book one. Book one has not even touched upon the depth of Christian Grey.

I love the Fifty Shades trilogy!! I read these as fanfiction when it first came out. I was hooked right away! I'm soooo happy the author decided to publish them and that it's going to be made into a movie!! Can't wait to see the movie! I'm anxious to see who they cast as Christian and Ana!

So following all the hype this series got, I decided to check it out. Wow was I disappointed/disgusted.... A lot of the women I talked to thought it was going to be a romance novel, but it's far from. It's a story about a young girl who gets involved with a rich older man. It is full of whips and chains and the whole 9 of S&M. If you think hurting your partner is sexy I guess this is for you. And if you like trashy bloody scenes with details too gross to descibe go for it. If not, I'd say don't waste your money.
