I was talked into these books by a friend, I thought that the overall subject was going to be too disturbing. I LOVED them, I read all three in about 6 days and I have thought of them often since. They do get much darker as the story goes on, but overall, I thought they were worth the read.

I would give the first book 5 stars for sure - and probably the second one too...the third one isn't quite as good, but still worth reading. Exciting, unique, good characters - it is super hard to put down!

Really liked this book. Not quite as good as the Dragon Tattoo books but very captivating. Can't wait to see how the movie portrays it!

Loved all 3 of them. Quick read.

My 14 year old is currently reading this book and he can't seem to put it down. He's really enjoying it.

I really liked this series. I found that it was a better written series compared to the other popular young adult novels. I loved the characters and I loved everything about the books. I also saw the movie but I found the books much more superior than the movie. I finished this trilogy in a week's time. I just couldn't put it down!

absolutely loved this. I buy all of my books used but bought these all new. still need to see the movie though

I loved this entire series. I've been a fan of the classic distopian novels like "1984" and "Brave New World" since I was 12. It's nice to see someone exploring that genre in modern fiction. I avoided these books for a long time because I associated them with the teen supernatural romances like "Twilight." That was a big mistake. There is an aspect of romance, but it's a piece of the story, not the point of the story. It's certainly darker than a lot of other books out there, but it is appropriate to the target age group. I also applaud this series for giving young girls a lead character who is competent and independent yet realistic.

This is not a book I would classify for children. I read it and found it very intriguing and something that society could actually end up allowing to happen. After reading the first book, I was pulled into the story and went on to read the other 2 books in the trilogy. However, I would not allow my children to read these books until they are at least teenagers and it would be only after talking to them about it.

If one remembers the audience this book is intended for, you won't be as disappointed. I went in with relatively low expectations and found it to be refreshingly good. While the last book in the series had some disappointments, I can't complain; it kept me captivated.

Found this to be a compelling series. It was very dark, but it was well told. Maybe for the slightly older young adult.

One of my favorite books! Kept me hooked!

Love these books. Couldn't put them down once I started reading them

I enjoyed the series very much. Looking forward to the next movie.
