Aczone and EpiDuo

Hello All, I am 29 years old with hormonal acne, or at least what I think is hormonal acne. I started off trying Proactiv, which I think made my skin worse and more sensitive than it has ever been. I then moved to more gentle Salycilic Acid products, but even they seemed to be too strong for my skin. Anyway, I finally thought that maybe it was hormonal so I decided to go back on the birth control pill.. I've been on that for about 8 months now, and no change. In the meantime I switched to all sensitive skin products, only using a spot treatment for acne... still no luck. (and yes I have tried all of these new regimens for months on end). I just went to the Dermatologist a couple of days ago, and she has given me Aczone for mornings under my makeup, and EpiDuo at night. It has only been a few days so I am not sure how I feel about it yet, has anyone had experience using these products, either individually or together?

Hi, there. I'm 30 years old, and I've had acne since I was 10. I used Proactiv through junior high and high school, and it seemed to do the trick, but it overdried my skin and it seemed like a hassle to have this long routine, and know that if I skipped a step at any time, I'd break out within a few hours. When I was about 21, it hit me that I needed professional help if I wanted to find any kind of solution to my problem, so I went to a dermatologist. Looking at my acne history we realized that my skin had a tendency to become resistant to treatment over time, and she finally got me on Epiduo. The beauty of Epiduo was that I no longer had to worry about an acne routine in the morning, or worry that if I didn't have acne medication on my skin AT ALL TIMES I'd break out. Epiduo was wonderful, and I'm on 'Epiduo Forte' now. It's the best acne product I've ever used. It controls my adult acne, saved me from resorting to Accutane, and I don't break out even when I'm on my period.
