What are your favorite things about social media? What are your least favorite?

My favorite things are that I can discover new products, I can occupy myself or use it when I have some free time and I can connect with my family and friends. The least favorite is that there is constant news about the virus and trying to fear monger and there can be other form of negativity and arguments that people have on social media.

I like that I can track and find out about events.
Most of my family lives in other countries, so it is a nice way to see what they are doing.
Dislike:
People can be cruel and/or petty.

I started on social media over 20 year ago, when I got my first computer. I am only on a few sites. There is an overload of social media. I don't know how people can stay on it 24/7 but I have some friends that are on it constantly as well as connected to their cell phone. I dont know how you can get any work done when you are on social media sites constantly. I can't stand it when I am shopping and people are on their phones, and even when checking out at the register. People can be so rude and nasty on social media. I use it to connect with some of my friends, that I don't see on a regular basis, like dog and horse people. I also use it to enter contests.
