When you eat out with friends, do you split the bill evenly, contribute just what you ate, or take turns paying? Do you use Venmo, PayPal, credit cards, cash or something else? How has this changed since mobile payments became commonplace? Tell us your favorite bill-paying strategies and you'll be entered to win $25 toward your next meal (paid how you want to spend it: Venmo, PayPal, or Amazon gift card!) Typically when eating out with friends, we get the same check and split it based off of what we each ordered. For me, I tend to pay with either cash, debit or credit card, because it is most convenient and works well for me.

We usually either take turns when we go out with family or friends if they are people we see often. If it's more casual. we just ask for separate bills. Works out most of the time, lol :)

Generally eat out with family members, so we pick up the check. We will split the tips

I use Vemo. Otherwise, we just slit the check down the middle unless some one had liquor.

We just start out by telling the waitor that the bill will be separate and pay for our own.

We usually split the check, whether the server splits it for us or we do it ourselves, or one person will pay with a card n the rest will pay her with cash, but on some occasions we will treat everyone, we've all only used credit cards or cash

I like to win restaurant gift cards on the radio and don't mind using them to treat other people as long as they order #vegan. We like to pay for what we ordered by picking out our items from the bill and pay with cash or card at the end of eating.
