When you eat out with friends, do you split the bill evenly, contribute just what you ate, or take turns paying? Do you use Venmo, PayPal, credit cards, cash or something else? How has this changed since mobile payments became commonplace? Tell us your favorite bill-paying strategies and you'll be entered to win $25 toward your next meal (paid how you want to spend it: Venmo, PayPal, or Amazon gift card!) I always have cash on hand so I don't have to worry about that. I just pay my portion with cash and that's it. I don't want to fool with dividing it up with apps or anything like that.

Usually one person will pay the full bill on their credit card and everyone else will venmo or cash app that person. Makes it easier to not have to split credit cards (unless someone did not have those apps)

Honestly, when out I pretty much always pay for myself, and just use my debit card. But I love how convenient PayPal is for online payments!

It depends on whoever I am with. Sometimes we split the bill and sometimes one person pays the entire bill. I usually pay cash or debit. Usually one person buys the meal, and then the next time the other person buys the meal
