Are women supportive of each other?
on Mar 16, 2016
(Read 105173 times | Comments: 98)
We surveyed 2,000 SheSpeaks members and only 37% said that they believe that women are supportive of one another. Does that surprise you? Do you agree or disagree? Share your thoughts. We want to know what you think!

This does not surprise me. Women are very competitive and can become envious of each other.

I believe it but I support all my women. We should be more of sisterhood.

I fully believe women aren't supportive of each other. I support all the women I come in contact with. I participate in all these women's parties especially if it helps their businesses, because that's what I would want them to do for me when I start my business. We need to come together and support each other.

I feel some women feel threatened or intimidated by other women, and it is reflected in how those women treat the woman. Unbeknownst to her, she is disparaged or shunned. It could be her social status, beauty, financial assets- all superficial stuff, yet she is "judged" because of that "stuff" and not accepted for her SELF. Additionally, women have not respected other womens' career or professional choices: feminists have vilified stay-at-home mothers. And those who do stay home condemn working mothers as not being GOOD mothers.

Women are not as supportive as they should be of each other/ We are either talking about each other, sleeping with each others husbands are trying to get the other one fired. words of encouragement and support are hard to come by as it is, but we always have to be jealous and malicious. I do not know why this is.

Not really. Women can be really catty at times. If they want a certain job, they will step on someone to get it. If one gets a promotion, they are not as celebratory. It seems there is so much competition between women.
