If you live in NC a must do trip is Charleston and Asheville. Charleston is the beach-sea vibe and Asheville is the mountain. Both are great for art and food lovers.
We loved Charleston, NC. So much art and history. We live in NYC and love it. We?ve also been to Savannah, Georgia and had a wonderful time.

I went to Savannah with my husband last year and we had the best time. We stayed on river street and enjoyed wandering around and taking in all the scenery. We also go to Hilton Head and enjoy riding bikes on the beach. Another place we recently visited was Charlottesville VA, and I fell in love. I think have never seen so many beautiful wineries in one place! Also, it?s not too hot. Next up we are going to Sarasota FL.
Asheville, NC is an amazing mountain town that features a laid back environment with lovely people. They have lots of art exhibits and fun places to visit. I definitely recommend checking them out!!
I really appreciate blogs like this because we are going to see my dad in Lake Anne next month
Ooo so many good places!! We?ve done New York, Sedona, California, Nevada, Oregon and North Carolina. Such great places to visit and for varying reason. You can?t go wrong with a summer trip to Oregon or a hike in Sedona! But there?s also something so fun about doing the city in New York or Nevada!

Oh Savannah, you are too cool, with that edgy side to you, straight from the old pirate history. This is a Port City, with the largest tankers passing you by on their trip up the Savannah River. My favorite restaurant for years, The Chart House on River Street, make sure to order the New England Clam Chowder and the Creamed Spinach. The Candy Kitchen on River Street, known for their Carmel Pecan turtles and the best Coconut Cake in the world, and I have tried many.
Charleston SC is the sugar of the South, where hospitality is the first love. Spicy food and the best Peach Sweet Tea ever, Charleston Place-Palmetto Cafe. Walk the cobblestone streets and escape to a time when things were more sophisticated and the warmth of the South engulfs your senses. Make sure to indulge in a private carriage ride with a guide who takes you through the history of Charleston, I recommend early morning or early evening. I love the candy stores that have the best Pralines in America.
We plan on going to Sedona, Arizona this summer
I love how the recommendations are spread all over the US so there?s at least one location accessible to everyone. I have personally been to 2 of these; Sedona & New York. Both great places and so different from each other. Lots of stunning beauty and great hiking in Sedona!
I fell in love with Charleston! So many beautiful things to see.
Napa Valley is the perfect girls weekend trip! It?s one of my favorite places to visit and a wine lovers dream. If you have foodies in your group, make sure to check out some of their amazing restaurants!
I?ve been to Savannah and Charleston. Charleston is amazing! I would love to travel to any of these places. I would prefer the southern states during late fall or winter as the temps are so humid and hot!?
