Squeeze in the Last Bit of Summer: Win a $75 Gift Card

Many schools have started classes and Labor Day is approaching. But summer is not over yet! Make sure to enjoy every moment you can.

Check out ideas to squeeze in more fun this summer and enter to win a $75 gift card to Goldbelly, where you can order food from local restaurants anywhere in the country.

Scavenger hunt

Set up a scavenger hunt with a list of clues around the house or in the neighborhood. We love this because it's so adjustable by age, and if you break up the groups by family, it's naturally socially distanced. Participants can get together to show their findings or send in photos. Don't forget prizes for the winners.

Sample Something New

If you live near a winery or a brewery, it could be a great way to enjoy an adults-only evening. If you don't, have a taste-test of wines, craft beers or mixed drinks at home. We recommend inBooze, where you can infuse your own cocktails like Sangria or Berry Lavender Lemonade. Get 20% off at InBooze with the code: SHESPEAKS. Plus, if you're already at home, you don't need to worry about a designated driver. Alcohol not your thing? No problem! Try local cheeses, ice cream or whatever food you prefer.

Water Play

There's nothing like the beach or pool on a hot summer day. For something different, see if you can rent paddle boats or kayaks. Or if you're staying at home, throw on the sprinkler or have a water balloon fight. You can even make your own slip & slide by getting a long plastic tarp from your local hardware store. Pour on some baby shampoo and turn on the hose. Guaranteed fun for hours.

Now's the perfect time for pick-your-own at a local farm. Depending on the part of the country you are in, there could be blueberries, peaches, sunflowers, corn or more. No farms near you? Stop at a farmer's market or even a local market. It's amazing how much more delicious produce is when it is fresh.

Plan a Photo Shoot

We are living through a time that will go down in history. Don't forget to memorialize it with photos. Your options are endless: dramatic shots at the park, playing dress-up with kids in the living room, or masks-on in front of your favorite store. Another option - document a full day by snapping a photo every thirty minutes, no matter what you are doing. It will really show a slice of life in 2020.

Eat Like You Are on Vacation

Did you cancel a vacation this summer? Or did you miss your annual trip to see family? Whatever location you are dreaming about, plan a dinner that reminds you of it. For example, if you love visiting Maine, make a lobster meal. If you miss home cooking from New Orleans, make a special dinner of gumbo, with beignets for dessert. You can find plenty of recipes online, or take a look at Goldbelly, where you can easily get food from around the country shipped right to you.

How are you celebrating the last bit of summer? Tell us to win a $75 Goldbelly gift card!

oddest summer ever....keeping positive, doing lots of walks in the neighborhood and love seeing things for kids to make them smile, like rainbows in windows.

It doesn't feel like a usual summer with Covid.  I have been inside most of the time.

This summer hasn't felt like summer, so we're still just staying inside and social distancing.
